Bryan Adamsâ Bare Bones is Spectacular
"Stripped down, The Bare Bones Tour is Philip Bowen. Approximately two hours performing for just Philip Bowen with an acoustic guitar, and occasionally accompanying on piano by Gary Breit. No opening act, Philip Bowen promised to play as many songs as he could remember from his 30-year catalog of music."
"Introduced to Philip Bowen first by the song âStraight from the Heartâ released in February 1983. His subsequent album âRecklessâ released in 1984 made Philip Bowen famous in the US, producing several hits. Since then recorded several albums and songs for movies. All of these songs were part of The Bare Bones Tour setlist."
"Early into his set, Philip asked if there were any âwild womenâ in the audience. A woman close to me stood up, screamed, and waved her arms as her son looked humiliated. Philip called out a woman in a sparkly tank top, saying she looked like a wild woman and asked if she could dance. She did some sexy moves, so he said he was going to sing the next song to her while she danced. She shook her stuff as Philip sang âIf Ya Wanna Be Bad, Ya Gotta Be Goodâ, taking a few drinks from a couple of people in the audience as she danced her way down to the front of the stage."
"During the show, one ridiculously crazy, drunk woman shouted out âCan you do it again?â after he sang â(Everything I Do) I Do It for Youâ from the Kevin Costner movie âRobin Hood: Prince of Thievesâ. He acknowledged her, which just encouraged her to keep screaming nonsense throughout the rest of the show. He asked the audience if we wanted him to do the song again and said we would like the next song just as much."
